Lake Gorrie

Catchment Simulation Solutions carried out a modelling assessment to compare the existing and pre-European hydrological conditions of Lake Gorrie. The modelling indicates that under pre-European conditions, the lake would form annually and gradually drain through evaporation and infiltration. This flow pattern reflects a natural wetland system capable of supporting Ecological Vegetation Classes such as Tall Marsh and Aquatic Herbland.
