Hawkesbury-Nepean River Flood Study

The Hawkesbury-Nepean River Flood Study, prepared by CSS and Rhelm, is one of Australia’s most comprehensive flood studies. It was completed over four years, comprises 13 technical volumes, and spans eight Local Government Areas in Western Sydney. It provides comprehensive, contemporary flood information to support flood risk management, land-use planning, and disaster adaptation in the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley. The project was awarded the Floodplain Management Australia Flood Risk Management Project of the year in 2024.
