Water Engineer

Catchment Simulation Solutions (CSS) is a specialist consultancy in flood and water resources engineering and hydrologic software development. Based in Sydney’s CBD, we are a small, collaborative team recognised for our work in floodplain management and water modelling across NSW. 

 

About the Role 

We’re seeking a motivated early years Water Engineer to join our team full-time. You’ll work closely with senior engineers on a variety of hydrologic and hydraulic projects, gaining hands-on experience across the water sector. As part of a small team, you’ll take on meaningful responsibilities early, with the opportunity to tailor your work to your interests in the water and environmental field. 

 

You’ll be involved in: 

  • Flood studies and floodplain risk management projects
  • Flood impact assessments for developments and infrastructure
  • Water resource modelling for regional NSW
  • Hydrological studies of wetlands and ecological systems

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or equivalent)
  • Full working rights in Australia 

     

Desirable Skills 

  • Familiarity with GIS software (ArcMap, QGIS, MapInfo)
  • Exposure to hydrologic and hydraulic modelling tools (e.g., WBNM, HEC-RAS, TUFLOW)
